Cycle Jordan team victorious!
Congratulations to our pedal pushers Kim Fraser, Ed Arterton, Pete Seeger, Jo McEvoy and Hannah McIlroy who cycled nearly 300km across Jordan to raise £27,006.78 for Clatterbridge Cancer Research.
The team set off on November 19th from Liverpool Lime Street station before flying from Heathrow to Amman for the seven-day challenge.
Along the way the group took in sites such as Mount Nebo, the Dead Sea, Roberts Rock Petra before finishing at the Red Sea on November 26th.
Hannah provided a daily blog detailing the team’s experiences. On day six she posted: “At one point we had to stop to let 12 camels cross the road in front of us. Absolutely amazing sight - especially with only sand to see for miles around.”
On completing the challenge Hannah said: “Can’t believe the week is over. I have met the most inspirational group of people who have shared their stories so warmly and been so open.”
Everyone at Clatterbridge Cancer Research would like to congratulate the team on their success and thank them for their efforts.
