Clatterbridge - Cancer Research - Understanding Cancer

Karen Pugh

Karen PughKaren Pugh’s family have set up a tribute fund to honour her memory. Following her battle against breast cancer, Karen sadly passed away on 3rd March 2005.

Total raised to date in Karen's memory:

£14,555.94

Karen’s sister Debbie wrote a beautiful letter to her ‘big sister’, who ‘was always looking out for me, and made sure I felt safe’.

Karen was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time as their mother was dying of the disease, and ‘you faced it with grit and determination’.

As the disease returned for a second and ultimately final time, Karen made cards and gifts to raise funds for the campaign’s fight: ‘You were such a kind and loving person who always thought of other people even when you were ill’.

Friends and family have continued to add to the money already made from Karen's work in order to support the scientists’ groundbreaking studies into breast cancer at Clatterbridge Cancer Research.

All donations given in Karen’s memory will be used specifically to help research carried out by Clatterbridge Cancer Research.
