This tribute site has been dedicated to our fantastic Mum Nonie. Mum was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease as a young woman in her 20s. She was treated in Clatterbridge Hostpital and made a fantastic recovery, even though she suffered a secondary cancer. Mum always spoke of the fantastic treatment she was given at Clatterbridge and how the care the nurses gave her was equally as important as the medical treatment she received.
Mum was a true Liver Bird and was raised in Woolton Village and lived in Garston and Allerton. She made the very most of life and never ever complained. 'Relaxez vous' was one of her favourite catch phrases.
Mum was survived by our Dad Terry and had 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren. She was totally adored. She was the kindest, funniest lady who would do anything to help anyone and was never happier than when she was houseworking to the Beatles.
Sadly, in summer 2010, Mum began to feel unwell and was diagnosed 1 month later with lung cancer which had already spread to her brain. She passed away peacefully with all of us around her and we sang 'You'll Never Walk Alone' to her. Mum smiled.
